Nurturing a passion for gems and geology from a young age, Gemma, fondly (and appropriately!) known as 'Gem', spent her childhood scouring the beaches of Banks Peninsula, New Zealand, for agates, carnelian and jasper. This passion has led Gemma on adventures to exotic locations and down roads less travelled, searching for the perfect precious gemstones to curate for The Sapphire Merchant collection.
